Welcome to EMN Meeting on Mesoporous Materials 2017!

The EMN meeting began in 2008 as a small workshop held at a traditional villa in Orland, Florida. Since then we have organized five successful workshops under the theme of Energy, Materials and Nanotechnology. In honor of the 2008 Orlando conference, these workshops were grouped under a conference series entitled “Villa Conference”. The Villa Conference series have grown beyond the traditional villa setting and have had continued success in 2009 (St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands), 2010 (Santorini, Greece), 2011 (Las Vegas, Nevada) , 2012 (Orlando, Florida) and 2013 (Houston, Texas).

As a special theme of the EMN series, the 2017 edition of the EMN Meeting on Mesoporous Materials covers various fields of mesoporous materials, with specific focus on the recent developments in tailored preparation, detailed characterization and new areas of application of these materials. We hope to bring together leading scientists, researchers, scholars and engineers from academia, R&D laboratories and industry around the world to exchange, share and learn the most interesting work done recently.

The conference will take place at Kaohsiung, Taiwan during the week of March 13th to 17th, 2017. Kaohsiung is the 2nd largest Taiwan city, also commonly known as “Gandu” which means harbor city. Kaohsiung is a prosperous city, which is highly industrialized and commercialized. Kaohsiung shifts from ancient to contemporary culture with ease. Don’t miss the breathtaking Fo Guang Shan monastery and its hall of giant Buddhas. Dream Mall, the largest shopping mall in Taiwan, has a Ferris wheel on the roof. Drive to Kenting National Park for beautiful landscapes. We encourage you to give yourself some time for recreational pursuits!

We Look forward to meeting you in Kaohsiung.
