Welcome to EMN Metamaterials Meeting!
The EMN Meetings grew out of a small workshop series that began in 2008 at a traditional villa in Orlando, Florida. Over the next three years, six additional successful workshops were organized on various focus topics in materials science, and grouped under the title of “Villa Conference” in honor of the original 2008 Orlando meeting. The Villa Conference series has grown rapidly beyond the traditional villa setting, continuing to attract highly-quality contributions from members of the international scientific and engineering communities. In 2012 the first Conference with a broader theme of Energy, Materials and Nanotechnology was held. The EMN Meetings now include : EMN Fall (Orlando), EMN Spring (Las Vegas), EMN Summer (Cancun), EMN East (Beijing), EMN Open (Chengdu), EMN Hong Kong, EMN Phuket, EMN Spain, and EMN Istanbul.
The EMN Metamaterials Meeting was scheduled to be held at Dubrovnik, Croatia during May 8-12, 2016. It aims to assemble scientists from universities, scientific institutes as well as industry to promote co-operations on Metamaterials development. We are confident that you will find the EMN Metamaterials Meeting stimulating and inspiring.
The meeting will be a few days of intense collaboration with great social occasions. It will be not only be a time to enjoy the company of fellow researchers in the field, but also a time to have fun with friends and family! Dubrovnik is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea, in the region of Dalmatia. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, a seaport and the center of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Dubrovnik is among the 10 best preserved medieval walled cities in the world. Lord Byron christened it ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, whilst George Bernard Shaw thought it simply ‘Paradise on Earth’.
Look forward to having the pleasure welcoming you to EMN Meeting on metamaterials in Croatia 2016.
